Hello, my name is Kristie and I am a psychotherapist and writer based in Singapore. As a therapist/counsellor, I have worked with children, teenagers, adults and couples since 2018 and continue to find passion in helping individuals navigate through life’s difficulties and mental health issues. I have experience in social service, healthcare, and private counselling organisations and am a registered Provisional Clinical Member of the Singapore Association of Counselling.
My therapeutic approach is humanistic and integrative, influenced by theories in attachment, neurophysiology of trauma, psychological flexibility, parts work, family systems, and self-compassion. I believe in hope and opportunities for growth, transformation, healing, and reconciliation in the midst of difficulties and darkness, and this drives my passion in the journey of supporting others.
Formerly an international business editor before a career switch, my experience in the corporate world has exposed me to the myriad cultural nuances around the world and helped me gain an appreciation of working with individuals from different backgrounds and with varied lived experiences. An avid pursuer of lifelong learning, I invest in regular training and SAC-certified supervision hours.
These are some of my qualifications and training obtained throughout the years:
When I am not working, you can find me dabbling in creative arts such as painting and writing, reading, cooking, body combat/gym classes, and spending time with my loved ones.
